Answer:

As we know, people are very influenced by others who are deemed to be popular. Things that have been seen in media and done by celebrities are growing to be more and more popular amongst the younger age groups. There is a common phrase, Life imitates art and vice versa. Things that have been shown in social media and even in the news and movies can subconsciously effect people, some for the best and some for the worst. There have been articles that suggest that violent movies and games can make a person act violently. There are also articles that suggest that shows about actual consequences can help guide people to make the right decisions. What ever the case, there are subliminal messages and hidden agendas in music, movies, news, podcasts and much more. There is no secret that people want to be accepted and sometimes that leads to the mimicry of actions even if they aren't morally justified.

Explanation:

The explanation of why people mimic media and other people have various reasons. One could be that they want to be that person or idolize them. Another reason is that a person may want to just fit in. Either way, Your mind is your own and you should make your own trends and follow no one else.

dexar [7]

Answer:

The reason why we are encouraged to skip the drafting phase of our essay and focus first on the section you feel inspired to write is because this helps us to separate the creative and the critical.

Explanation:

The goal of this is not to complete your essay and make it well-organized, but to capture fast all your ideas by writing them down.

"The Automation Paradox" Paragraph 2
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

C. It turns out that workers will have greater employment opportunities if their occupation undergoes some degree of computer automation.

Explanation:

Many people fear automation, thinking that computers are taking over tasks performed by workers and that they could lead to unemployment (as stated in options A and D). But, according to James Bessen, that is incorrect. In the given paragraph he explicitly says that it turns out that workers will have greater employment opportunities if their occupation undergoes some degree of computer automation. That's good news about computer automation (option B is incorrect because this paragraph tells us about good, not bad news).

Thus, option C is the correct one.
