Data created by someone who was not present at an event, but read or heard about it is known as a <u>Secondary source of data</u>.

  • Let understand that Primary data means a data collected directly from an event and this includes data from newspapers, maps, speeches, interviews etc.

  • Secondary data are data collected by someone, other than the primary user and this includes Government publications, websites, journal etc.

In conclusion, any source of data which was collected by someone who was not present at the event but read about is known as "Secondary Source of data"
