Answer:

(-3 , -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

A: (-1,2), B: (1,2), and C: (-1,-3) .... D: (x,y)

slope of AB = (2-2)/(1 - -1) = 0 .... parallel to x axis

x coordinate of A is 2 units left to B (-1 vs 1)

y coordinate of C is 2 units left to B so D must be 2 units left to C: -1 -2 = -3

DC // AB , y coordinate of D = C = -3

D: (-3 , -3)

Suppose that a 2 by 10 rectangular grid of seats is filled with people. On the
IrinaVladis [17]

There are 20! number of ways for everyone to do this so that at the end of the move, each seat is taken by exactly one person.

People are seated in a 2 by 10 rectangle grid. All 20 persons stand up from their seats and relocate to an orthogonally neighboring one upon the blowing of a whistle.

Now, we have to find the number of possible ways in which each seat is taken up by exactly one person after the move.

As the number of people is 20 and 20 seats are to filled exactly once.

So, the number of ways = 20!

SAT Math Question
mariarad [96]

I'm tentatively changing my answer to say this kind of relies on practical knowledge of how stores tend to operate. If 20 coupons are given out, the store has sold all 500 shirts, arguably at a loss to the retailer. They have to have more shirts in stock to be sold at full price because, well, that's how they make money. It's more likely that such a store would carry more than just 500 shirts at the start of each day, so A is (probably) wrong.
