He would have to use 104 pages because 591+234=825 and 825÷8=103.125 but if you round it, it would go to 104.

Answer:

He could use 104 pages in the photo books .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

A photographer has 591 photos of animals and 234 photos of plants.

Each page of the photo books holds 8 photos.

To Find : Fewest number of pages he could use in the photo books.

Solution :

A photographer has 591 photos of animals and 234 photos of plants.

Thus total no. of photos he have = 591+234 = 825 photos

Since he wants to put all the photos into photo book

No. of pages required for 8 photos = 1

No. of pages required for 1 photo = 1/8

No. of pages required for 825 photos:

= \frac{1}{8} *825

⇒103.125 pages ≈ 104 pages

Hence he could use 104 pages in the photo books .

Sonji and her friend rachel are competing in a race. When sonji is 0.4 miles from the finish line she notices that her friend ra
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

Sonji is 0.5 miles far from the finish line

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Distance between the Sonji and the finish line = 0.4 miles

Distance run by Sonji back = one tenth of a mile

i.e = \frac{1}{10} miles = 0.1 miles

Hence,

The total distance of Sonji from the finish line will be

= Distance between the Sonji and the finish line + Distance run by Sonji back

= 0.4 miles + 0.1 miles

= 0.5 miles

Hence,

Sonji is 0.5 miles far from the finish line
