Did u mean...find x? If yes it would be like these:
4x-5=7+4
4x-5=11
4x=11+5
4x=16
x=16/4
x= 4

Answer:

so,we have to find the value of X

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-5=7+4

4x=7+4+5

Is this equation an identity? (2x+1)^2-(x+1)^2=3(x+1)^2-1
sergey [27]

Answer:

See below, please

Step-by-step explanation:

Left side

{(2x + 1)}^{2}  -  {(x + 1)}^{2}

= (4 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 1) - ( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 1)

= (4 {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2} ) + (4x - 2x) + (1 -1 )

= 3 {x}^{2}  + 2x

Right side

3 \times  {(x + 1)}^{2}  - 1

= 3 \times ( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 1) - 1

= 3 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 3 - 1

= 3 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 2

After compared with both sides, we can make a conclusion that

This equation isn't an identity.

6% of $22 = 1.32
22 + 1.32 = 23.32 (cost of meal with tax)
20% of 23.32 = 4.66
23.32 + 4.66 = 27.98
Total cost = $27.98

Suppose that the concentration (measured in gm^-3) of nitrogen in the soil along a transect in moist tundra yields data points t
kap26 [50]

Answer:

The average concentration of nitrogen in the soil along  0 ≤ x ≤ 10 is y_{avg}=500.3 \:{\frac{g}{m^3} }

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the average concentration between two points a and b along a transect, we measure the concentration at equal distances. Assume that f(x) is a continuous function on [a, b]. The average value of f on the interval [a, b] is

f_{avg}=\frac{1}{b-a} \int\limits^b_a {f(x)} \, dx

To find the average concentration of nitrogen we have to take the integral over the entire range and then dividing by the distance covered in the study.

y_{avg}=\frac{1}{10-0}\int\limits^{10}_{0} {(673.8 - 34.7x)} \, dx  \\\\\mathrm{Apply\:the\:Sum\:Rule}:\quad \int f\left(x\right)\pm g\left(x\right)dx=\int f\left(x\right)dx\pm \int g\left(x\right)dx\\\\y_{avg}=\frac{1}{10-0}\int _0^{10}673.8dx-\int _0^{10}34.7xdx\\\\y_{avg}=\frac{1}{10-0}(6738-1735)\\\\y_{avg}=\frac{5003}{10}=500.3
