Answer:

When the albatross appears, the ice splits so that the ship can move forward, and a good wind appears, hastening its progress

Explanation:

In the beginning of "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," by English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the albatross leads the ship out of the freezing waters of the Antartic. However, after the mariner shoots it, the extreme anger of spirits takes the ship into unexplored waters and it is left unable to move.

Imagine you're watching a scary movie: Wisconsin Weed-Whacker Massacre. There's a deranged lunatic in the house, and he's carrying a turbo-charged weed-whacker! While the main character, a cute teenage girl, was pouring a glass of milk in the kitchen, the audience sees the madman tiptoe up the stairs and slip into the hall closet. Minutes later our sweet teen star bops up to the second floor with her ear buds in, singing to herself. She reaches toward the closet door, but at the last minute decides what she wants is down the hall. When she turns away, the door creaks open, the prowler steps into the hallway behind her and revs up his trimmer.

What is the relationship between setting and mood?
n200080 [17]

Answer:

b. a story's mood is usually suggested or created by details about the story's setting.

Explanation:

The mood of a story can also be thought of as the story's atmosphere. Mood is the emotional reaction a book, painting, or any other piece of art work bestows on its audience. The mood of a work of literature is usually established through the character(s), setting(s), and plot. Any good writer forms a distinct setting that typically hints to the story's mood. Therefore, a story's mood is usually suggested or created by details about the story's setting.
