Ashley hypothesizes that adding coffee grounds to the soil will help the plants grow faster. She designs a controlled experiment

to determine if this hypothesis is supported. She grows one group of soybean seedlings under normal conditions. She mixes three tablespoons of coffee grounds into the soil of the second group and grows the seedlings under the same light, temperature, and watering regimen. After three weeks, she measures the height of the seedlings and compares the two groups.Identify the parts of the experiment. Place only one term in each category. You will not place all the terms.

The purpose of this study is to determine the experimental group, the control group, the dependent variable, and the independent variable.

Designing and carrying out an experiment is the best approach to prove whether a hypothesis is true or incorrect. To ensure that an experiment examines exactly what the hypothesis claims, scientists must be cautious in how they construct it.

To ensure that only one factor is being altered in an experiment, the independent variables are therefore divided into two groups.

 • The control group
 • The experimental group

The control group does not experience any changing variable.

The experimental group receives all of the experiment's circumstances, changes as well as the one variable that the experiment is testing.

In Ashley's experiment:

The experimental group:

 • Seedlings grown with coffee grounds.

The control group:

 • Seedlings grown without coffee grounds.

The dependent variable:

 • Seedling height

The independent variable:

 • Soil

Therefore, we can conclude that we understand the concept of the experiment carried out by Ashley.

A mother asks the nurse how to swaddle her newborn because she heard that it helps infants calm down. Which statement will the n
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

The nurse should include the following;

Swaddling is the method of wrapping the baby in cloth e.g blanket, to create comfort, warmth, calmness and to make them feel secured.

Physiologically, peripheral cyanosis is common to new born hands and feets,This is because the baby's circulatory system is not fully developed. This old technique provides warmth for the limbs of the baby to maintain even distribution of heat energy in the body.

Other benefits of Swaddling

It induces sleep in babies

It reduces startle reflex, because baby’s limbs are rap up and immobile therefore no free movement which may promote startle reflex.

How to swaddle a baby

The blanket should be spread out in diamond shape, A corner of the blanket should point upwards, while the top corner should be folded down to the short height of 6 inches.

The baby should be placed in supine position, with the head on the folded top corner, while the remaining body parts occupies the full length of the blanket.

The left side of the blanket should be wrapped over the left arm and chest. while the other part of the blanket should be inserted under the right arm and back . This leaves the baby’s right arm free.

Risk.

The wrapping should not be tight. Enough rooms should be given to the limbs of the baby to allow bending of the limbs. Baby should be able to bend her legs up and stretch out of the hip

HELP
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

I am assuming the question is asking how do the processes relate to one another.

Explanation:

Ventilation happens in the lungs, where carbon dioxide and oxygen are exchanged in the alveoli. This is done via cappilaries that surround the alveoli. Cappilaries are small blood vessels, which are collecitelvy part of the blood flow system (circulation) of the body. In reguards to the digestion, there are capillaries in the vili (which are tiny finger-like structures) so that they can pick up the nutrients during digestion. Another way blood flow and digestion are connected is because the stomach is a muscle, thus is moves and requires energy. That energy comes from the oxygen and nutrients that is supplied by the blood. These are just some examples.
