It sounds selfish, but when I help I feel better bout what I am doing and who I am. Not only this but when I was diagnosed, the diabetic educators were sooo helpful. There was one especially, who had the same thing that I did, that took me to the side and explained it to me. She told me what my body was going through and how I could help it. It was really helpful, and I want to be that person for someone else.
