Lack of sleep is linked to a number of unfavorable health consequences including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and depression. Some psychiatric conditions can cause sleep problems, and sleep disturbances can also exacerbate the symptoms of many mental conditions including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder

Explanation:

Lack of sleep may increase risk factors for anxiety and depression because without sleep, your mind and body are tired. You won't have the energy to do things as well as you would with a healthy amount of sleep, and you would be in a bad mood since you are so tired. You could also always be put on edge because of it, the anxiety of all the work you may have to do and it could stress you out, causing you to be even more tired and anxious. Therefore, the lack of sleep could increase the risk of having depression and anxiety because without the right amount of sleep the day is stressful and too much for the tired mind and body.

Nitella [24]

As it is one of the most important areas of activity with regard to life, the health area tends to seek constant improvement of techniques and services offered directly to patients.

Human resource (HR) department within the healthcare organization

As a result, it is not uncommon for administrations to end up neglecting HR in the health area, as well as the preparation of people for those services offered to their internal public, that is, employees.

As in any company, health institutions generally have an organizational structure focused on their strategies. Despite this, it is common for your teams to be susceptible to problems such as lack of motivation and the spread of rumors within their departments. For this and other reasons, it is so important that there is a specialized sector that is attentive to the internal provisions of human resources in health institutions.

In addition, it is important that the HR supervisor in the hospital has skills such as:

 • Coordinate the processes of hiring and firing, contract renewal and termination, trainee program, and retirement processes;
 • Observe labor laws, collective bargaining agreements and collective agreements with the union of class and internal rules;
 • Be up to date with legal changes related to labor laws;
 • Supervise the payroll analysts;
 • Coordinate the payment of activities related to the personnel department;
 • Check and validate payroll;
 • Analyze the valuation of jobs;
 • Prepare salary review, make calculations, studies and analyzes on compensation and benefits;
 • Coordinate the performance evaluation;
 • Conduct organizational climate survey;
 • Coordinate job and salary plan;
 • Prepare administrative reports on the review of results to assist in decisions;
 • Implement occupational health and safety policies;
 • Accompany external audits in order to ensure that governmental and organizational standards are everyone's knowledge;
 • Maintain relationships with union entities;
 • Carry out other activities inherent to the position.

Being thus of great importance in hospital administration, the human supervisor is a key in the resources of a hospital.
