0 is in the middle, and there are 3 slots in between each number. the number 3/8 could also be 2 and 2/3 and its positive do it goes to the right from 0, so count two large slash mark things and then 2 small slash mark things. -11/3 can be simplified to -3 and -2/3, so we go left from 0 to graph, count 3 large slash marks going to the left and 2 small slash marks.
