3 Writing Now close your eyes and imagine yourself in a favourite place of your own. Are you alone, or with famíly or friends? What are you doing? Take in all the sights, colours, sounds and smells of the place. Think about the way you feel when you go there. When you're ready, try to write down your ideas on paper. Be prepared to make one or two drafts before you get the description just right. Use a dictionary to help. Don't forget to explain why this is one of your favourite places.
