Evaluate the following expressions for x = 2.
Anna [14]

Answer:

-9.2(4 - x) = -18.4

-36.8 + 9.2x =-18.4

Explanation:

Given

-9.2(4 - x)

-36.8 + 9.2x

Required

Evaluate when x =2

-9.2(4 - x)

Substitute 2 for x

-9.2(4 - x) = -9.2(4 - 2)

Evaluate the expression in bracket

-9.2(4 - x) = -9.2(2)

Remove bracket

-9.2(4 - x) = -9.2*2

-9.2(4 - x) = -18.4

-36.8 + 9.2x

Substitute 2 for x

-36.8 + 9.2x = -36.8 + 9.2 * 2

-36.8 + 9.2x = -36.8 + 18.4

-36.8 + 9.2x =-18.4

Select the correct answer.
MAVERICK [17]
The answer would be the second option

A soliloquy, similar to a monologue, is a speech, but it's a speech that one gives to oneself regardless of whose hearing, it is used as a tool to better help the audience to understand what the character is feeling internally. An example of one, and perhaps the most famous is this one:

To be, or not to be, — that is the question: —
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? (etc.)

(Antigone) Creon says that Antigone is "of all the people in this city, only she/Has had contempt for my laws and broken it." Wh
denis23 [38]

The answer is D. all of the above, because while Antigone is the only one to openly defy Creon and disagree with him to his face, she is not the only one who has contempt for his laws. Ismene, Antigone's sister, also disagrees with the law, but she does not act upon it like her sister did. Haemon also disagrees with Creon, his father and Antigone's betrothed, because he honors the laws of the Gods above the laws of man, he does tell his father he ahs heard other people complaining about the edict. In the end, Haemon kills himself for being conflicted about his love and his father, his mother kills herself for losing her son, and Antigone kills herself to avoid being buried alive for disobeying Creon.
