Lincoln makes a splendid statement, as we can perceive today how different people treat power, some abuse it, some handle it wisely. One of the issues the world is facing right now is the coronavirus. Different leaders handle the situation differently, some states require masks, these leaders most likely care about the people and their well-being, and some states don't require masks, and these leaders put many people at risk, especially the elderly. As you can see, this is one way a person can be tested by giving him power.
