We could possibly use population density, as poorer countries/less developed countries tend to be more dense all around. Mainly economic things though, so GDP, income per capita. We use life expectancy, rate of literacy, freedom index..hope this helps

Take care of the environment by recycling, not littering, and respecting wildlife. Reduce carbon emissions by riding a bike instead of a car, and turning the lights off when not using a room. Don't leave campfires unattended and put them out fully when done, to prevent forest fires from starting.
