Answer:

5 numbers of soda bottles and 10 numbers of juice bottle was purchased.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Sarah purchased x bottles of Soda and y bottles of Juice.

Each soda bottle contains 45 gm of sugar and each juice bottle contains 30 gm of sugar, and there is a total of 525 gm of sugar,

Hence, we can write 45x + 30y = 525, ⇒ 3x + 2y = 35 ...... (1)

Now, it is given that, she purchased 5 more bottles of juice than bottles of soda.

Hence, x + 5 = y, ⇒ x - y = - 5 ......... (2)

Now, solving equations (1) and (2) we get, 5x = 25, ⇒ x = 5

Hence,from equation (2), y = x + 5 = 10

Therefore, 5 numbers of soda bottles and 10 numbers of juice bottle was purchased. (Answer)

Solve using the method of elimination and determine if the system has 1 solution, no solutions, or infinite solutions
Minchanka [31]

\begin{array}{rrrrr} 10x&-&18y&=&2\\ -5x&+&9y&=&-1 \end{array}~\hfill \implies ~\hfill \stackrel{\textit{second equation }\times 2}{ \begin{array}{rrrrr} 10x&-&18y&=&2\\ 2(-5x&+&9y&)=&2(-1) \end{array}} \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \begin{array}{rrrrr} 10x&-&18y&=&2\\ -10x&+&18y&=&-2\\\cline{1-5} 0&+&0&=&0 \end{array}\qquad \impliedby \textit{another way of saying \underline{infinite solutions}}

if we were to solve both equations for "y", we'd get

10x-18y=2\implies 10x-2=18y\implies \cfrac{10x-2}{18}=y\implies \cfrac{5}{9}x-\cfrac{1}{9}=y \\\\\\ -5x+9y=-1\implies 9y=5x-1\implies y=\cfrac{5x-1}{9}\implies y = \cfrac{5}{9}x-\cfrac{1}{9}

notice, the 1st equation is really the 2nd in disguise, since both lines are just pancaked on top of each other, every point in the lines is a solution or an intersection, and since both go to infinity, well, there you have it.

A sample of blood pressure measurements is taken from a data set and those values (mm Hg) are listed below. The values are matc
swat32

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Systolic. Calculate the mean

118+128+158+96+156+122+116+136+126+120+

=1276÷10 = 127.6.

To calculate the median arrange the values from the lowest to the highest.

96,116,118,120,122,126,128,136,156,158.

122+126+2=124.

Disastolic

80+76+74+52+90+88+58+64+72+82= 736÷10=73.6

To calculate the median arrange the values from the lowest to the highest.

52,58,64,72,74,76,80,82,88,90

Median= 74+76=150÷2=75.

Comparison

The Systolic and diastolic blood pressure measures different things, so comparing them is of no use.

It will be good if the relationship between the blood pressure can be investigated because the data are in pairs.
