Answer:

Owls eat shrews. If there are fewer shrews, then the owls have less to eat. With less to eat, they end up breeding less and/or starving more. So a crash in the shrew population will cause a reduction in the owl population.

Answer:The population of barn owl will decrease.

Explanation:

The population of the barn owl will be decreased as the barn owl feeds on the shrew population. Some of the predators include barn owl, hawks, snakes.

If there is a decrease in the food( shrew) for the barn owl then the population of the owl will decrease due to less availability of food for them.

They will breed less and then its population will decrease. So, decreased population of shrew will have decreased population of barn owl.

Organ where carbohydrate absorption occurs
Rina8888 [55]

Answer: Small intestines

Explanation: Digestion of carbohydrates begins in the mouth mechanically and through salivary amylase. It passes down to the stomach by parastalsis, digested further and goes to the small intestines where their absorption begins. Carbohydrates are a source of glucose, that most organs use as their primary energy source. Indigestible carbohydrates and fibers travels down to the large intestines where they are digested by bacteria or eliminated as waste through the anus.

The small intestines consist of microvilli that increase surface area for maximum nutrient absorption. Carbohydrates are absorbed by the small intestines via the jejunum, taken to the blood stream then transported to the liver where glycolysis and most metabolic pathways take place, for energy production.
