The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of all sides of the rectangle. The value of x in the given rectangle is 13.5

Given that:

L = 3x + 5 --- Length

W = x - 9 --- Width

P = 100 --- Perimeter

We have:

P = 2l  + 2w

So, the expression becomes

100 = 2 \times(3x + 5) + 2 \times (x - 9)

Divide through by 2

50 = 3x + 5 + x - 9

Collect like terms

3x + x = 50 - 5 + 9

4x = 54

Divide through by 4

x = 13.5

Hence, the value of x is 13.5

What is the areaof a circle having a given diameter. d=16 cm
Elan Coil [88]
Area = \pi r^2
so if the diameter is 16, radius (r) = 8

3.14 * 8^2 = 3.14*64 = 200.96 is the approximate area

If you're looking for the answer in terms of pi, 64pi is the answer.

Each base in this right prism-like figure is a quarter of a circle with a radius of 2m.
NISA [10]

Answer:

volume = 10\pi m^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a prism = Base Area x height

Base is a quarter of a circle.

              Area \ of \ circle = \pi r^2\\\\r = 2m\\\\Area \ of \ quarter \ of \ a \ circle = \frac{1}{4} \pi r^2 = \frac{1}{4}\pi \times 4 = \pi m^2

Base Area = π square meters.

Therefore ,

          Volume = Base Area \times height = \pi \times 10 = 10\pi m^3
