Maximilien Robespierre believed that he was doing a justice to France by killing the people he did.

Maximilien Robespierre was one of the leading figures in the French Revolution and after some years of skillful maneuvering, he ended up being arguably the most powerful figure in France.

He believed that the ideals of the Revolution should be absolute and that anyone going against them should be executed. His followers followed suit and this resulted in the number of executions in France rising to alarming levels.

Eventually he was deposed and executed because:

  • people thought he displayed too little care for human life
  • he seemed to believe he was untouchable

In conclusion, Maximilien Robespierre went to the grave thinking he did what was best for France but the blood of the many he sent to their deaths beg to differ.

how did the agricultural revolution contribute to the start of the industrial revolution in great britain?
sineoko [7]

The development of agriculture was a hallmark for the development of human civilization. Before that, humans had to focus their efforts on hunting and harvesting for food, so the effort existed to sustain life. After the development of agriculture, civilizations came to have a food security, that is, subsistence is no longer a doubt. From then on, society can turn its attention to other activities and has experienced a major evolution.  One of the activities by which people could develop was work, which eventually led to the development of technologies. The industrial revolution is the result of the human capacity to work and create technological tools. This was only possible after the population had a food security, thanks to the agriculture revolution.
