Answer:

1 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

okay so to make 1 blanket she needs 4 1/2 yards of wool

the goal here is to add the fractions then subtract from the 4 1/2 to see how much more she needs.

STEP 1:

turn the fractions into mixed numbers\frac{3}{2}\  \frac{9}{4}

STEP 2:

next you have to find the least common multiple.(in this case 4) now we convert them(3x2 and 2x2)6/4 and since the second one is already 4 it stays as 9/4.

STEP 3: add 6/4 and 9/4= 15/4 then turn it into an improper fraction, 4 goes into 15 3 times with 1 left over so 3 1/4

STEP 4: subtract 4 1/2 and 3 1/4

once again convert to mixed numbers, subtract the numerators then change it back to an Improper fraction.

SVETLANKA909090 [29]
The vertex angle bisector divides the triangle into two congruent right triangles. The sine of half of the vertex angle will be half of the base divided by the side (from the definition of the sine of an angle). Then the total vertex angle is ...
  α = 2×arcsin(3.5/5) ≈ 88.9°

_____
Using the Law of Cosines, the vertex angle can be found as
  arccos((7^2 -5^2 -5^2)/(-2*5*5)) = arccos(1/50) ≈ 88.9°

Vilka [71]
The first digit is 9 or 8.
The fifth odd number you count beginning with one is 9.
Let the middle number be x.
If the first number is 8, then 8 + x + 9 = 22 => 17 + x = 22 => x = 22 - 17 = 5. then the number is 859 which approximates to 900 to to the nearest hundred.
If the number is 9, then 9 + x + 9 = 22 => 18 + x = 22 => x = 22 - 18 = 4, then the number is 949, which also approximates to 900 to the nearest hundred.

Therefore, the required number is 859 or 949.
