Answer:

If it's parallel it has to have the same slope

y=-3x-3

The second number is the y intercept. If you enter the x value 1 in the equation and get -6 then the y intercept is correct lets say you have

y=-3x

if you enter 1 you get y = -3

what plus -3 is -6? -3. the y intercept is -3.

Hope its correct and it helps

Kobotan [32]

Answer:

The value of the expected profit from the concert is 8,910

Step-by-step explanation:

Profit on a clear day X₁ = 36,000 with 13% probability.

i.e X₁ = 36000

    P(X₁) = 0.13

Profit on a cloudy day = 17,000 with 39% probability.

i.e X₂ = 17000

    P(X₂) = 0.39

else,

loss of 5,000 if it rains with the probability of 48%.

i.e X₃ = 5000

    P(X₃) = 0.48

The value of the expected profit from the concert is obtained as follows

Expected Value = (36,000*0.13) + (17,000*0.39) - (5,000*0.48)

                           = 4,680 + 6,630 - 2,400

                           = 8,910

By using parallel lines and transversal lines concept we can prove m∠1=m∠5.

Given that, a║b and both the lines are intersected by transversal t.

We need to prove that m∠1=m∠5.

What is a transversal?

In geometry, a transversal is a line that passes through two lines in the same plane at two distinct points.

m∠1+m∠3= 180° (Linear Pair Theorem)

m∠5+m∠6=180° (Linear Pair Theorem)

m∠1+m∠3=m∠5+m∠6

m∠3=m∠6

m∠1=m∠5 (Subtraction Property of Equality)

Hence, proved. By using parallel lines and transversal lines concept we can prove m∠1=m∠5.

What is the sum of the infinite geometric series 1 - 1/2 + 1/4 - 1/8 + 1/16
mina [271]

Answer: The answer is 11/16

Step-by-step explanation:

PEMDAS theres only addition and subtraction so we figure out this equation left to right.

1-1/2=1/2

1/2+1/4=3/4

3/4-1/8=5/8

5/8+1/16=11/16
