The whole angle is supplementary so 180°, now just subtract 180°-114° = ?
What you get for it will be angle 1.

On this one, a straight line is 180º (since it's basically to 90º angles back-to-back).

Since you know the measure of angle 2 is 114º and together angle 1 and angle 2 make a straight line (or 180º), you need to know:

    114º + what = 180º

Can you take it from there?

11) How many kilograms of How many kilograms of calcium are there
Over [174]
Answer. A. 78.5 kg
Explanation. First, we must convert the lbs into grams, we can do this my multiplying 454 by 173 and get 78,500. Then convert it to kg, there are 1,000 g in a kg do divide 78,500 by 1,000 to get 78.5 kg. Let me know if it’s correct so others can use it. Brainliest would be appreciated.
Good luck :)

If f(x)=25-2x, then f(5)=<br> Some please help
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
F(x) = 25 - 2x

f(5) is pretty much the value of f(x) when x = 5

Plug x=5 into f(x)

f(5) = 25 - 2(5)
= 15

That's your answer.

Have an awesome day! :)

klemol [59]

Imagine right triangle PHF, where P - park, H - home and F - football field, then PH, PF are legs and HF is hypotenuse . Denote point L to be library. You know that point L lies on the segment FH and FL=8, LH=2. Also you know that PL is an altitude to the hypotenuse.

Use the property of altitude drawn from the vertex of right angle to the hypotenuse (the length of the altitude is geometrical mean between legs' projections onto hypotenuse):

PL=\sqrt{HL\cdot LF},\\  PL=\sqrt{2\cdot 8}=\sqrt{16} =4 mi.

This means that the distance between park and libriry is 4 miles.

Consider right triangle PLF ( angle L is right angle and PF - hypotenuse). By the Pythagorean theorem,

PF^2=PL^2+LF^2,\\ PF^2=4^2+8^2,\\ PF^2=16+64=80,\\ PF=\sqrt{80} =4\sqrt{5} mi. The distance between park and football field is 4\sqrt{5} miles.

Answer: the distance between park and libriry is 4 miles and the distance between park and football field is 4\sqrt{5} miles.
