Explanation: Verb moods are classifications that indicate the attitude of the speaker. Verbs have four moods: indicative, imperative, conditional and subjunctive. The indicative mood is used in statements and affirmations, the imperative mood is used in in requests and commands, the conditional mood is used to express propositions whose validity is dependent on some condition and the subjunctive mood is used to express hypothetical situations, also wishes, desires or things that aren't factual.
Sentences expressing a wish or condition that cannot be real or factual are written in the subjunctive mood, although it should be noted that there are exceptions.
