APUSH 2009 dbq. From 1880 to 1920, cities in the United States grew rapidly. What factors caused that growth, and in what ways d
Alex

The reason why cities in the United States grew so rapidly was because of Industrialization. Americans responded to the challenges posed by urbanization by:

 • Getting involved in labor strikes.
 • Campaigning for more government interference in the labor sector.

Why did cities grow in the U.S. ?

As a result of industrialization in the urban areas, many people left the rural areas to look for in the cities and towns. This led to the cities growing in population and opportunity.

How did Americans respond to urbanization challenges?

They engaged in labor strikes when owners of businesses would not accede to labor demands.

They also campaigned for the government to pass more laws that would reduce pollution and limit the exploitation of the working class by business owners.

How is cultural exchange a part of globalization
pickupchik [31]

cultural exchange is the act of sharing ones culture with another to improve understanding and making new friendships. This can help in globalization because a country can have a great influence on other countries if they have an alliance with other countries. The exchange of cultures can be beneficial to the world because it can lead to the booming of very profitable businesses such as google and Microsoft and Sony. Without cultural exchange there also wouldn't be any peace because without that understanding between countries this can lead to tensions between them because no country knows what the other is gonna do. All in all culural exchange is mandatory to promote peace and prosperity between nations.
