Answer:

Demand for recycled paper has increased as consumers have become more aware of the environmental issues surrounding waste disposal. Paper is a natural raw material made from renewable wood and plants. Recycled paper is made from waste paper and paperboard. Both new paper and recycled paper contain traces of heavy metals. However, some types of recycled paper contain more heavy metals than new paper due, in part, to the inks used for printing or adding color to the original paper. Metals can migrate from the paper packaging and containers used for food to the food itself. This metal migration is controlled and monitored to reduce the exposure of humans to heavy metals. Food agencies in each country determine the limit of cadmium, zinc, nickel, and copper in packaging materials. Most countries impose a limit of heavy metals in recycled paper not to exceed 100.0 ppm or 100.0 . The limit for lead in eggfruit, or vegetable-packaging is lower-not to exceed-20.0 mg/kg. The table in Figure a lists the results of the analysis of samples of recycled paper produced by a manufacturer during a three-month period. The goal of the manufacturer is to reduce the amount of heavy metals-especially lead-in the recycled paper it produces and sells. From March to May, the manufacturer varied the

methods of production each month to determine which method would produce paper with the lowest metal content. Each month, lab technicians cut small samples of recycled paper with an area of 1.000 and a thickness of 0.0500 The technicians then prepared the samples for analysis. The average density of the samples is Use the information provided in the figure to answer the

following questions:

a. Did the company reduce the amount of lead in its product between March and May?

b. Which metal was not reduced?

c. Each month's sample represents a different manufacturing process. Which process would you recommend the manufacturer choose to continue to use over the next year while additional processes are tested? Why?

d. What is the total amount of the five metals for the April sample (in mg/kg)?

e. What is the total mass (in mg) of the five metals for the April sample found in the 1.000 sample?

f. Lead has four stable isotopes: 204

Explanation:

so this problem gives us a lot of information and asked us to answer several questions. So, Letter A says, did the company make reduce the amount of lead in its product between March and May? And the answer is yes. The PB levels went from 3.5 to 2.8 22.4, so it was reduced. Be asks which medal was not reduced. And that would be sync because England from 2.723 point 2.723 2 to 3.7 so zinc increased. It was not reduced. See says each month sample represents a different manufacturing process.

Answer:

The central idea is this: "This group works with businesses to make their products and packaging more sustainable, meaning they want to use resources so that they will continue to be available in the future."

This idea is developed by explaining what the materials of the cup are made out of and wether it is actually sustainable or not. The paragraph goes on to say that from one perspective, yes it is sustainable because despite still containing plastic it can be recycled in some countries. From another perspective however we see that the cup would not be able to be used in places where it cannot be recycled and is therefore not as sustainable as they think. It wraps up with the central idea saying that the business is working to make the materials even more sustainable to the point where it will be able to be used everywhere and be recycled.

1. What was the little snail's problem when they were about to move?
UNO [17]

Answer:

1. B. "How can I carry my very big house"?

2. C. They could not move his very big house.

3. A. It will die of hunger.

Explanation:

The above are correct.

From the story, we can see that when the snails were to move because of the grass that has finished in that farm, the problem the snail had was how it could carry its very house. The other snails had to leave him behind because they could not move his very big house.

Since the grasses in that farm has finished, the snail that was left behind will die of hunger. This is because there will be no food for it to eat.
