Read this sentence from the text:
Ivenika [448]

Answer: A.) At this point in his life he was familiar with the basic science of electricity.

Explanation: This answer makes the most sense out of all of them and the sentence gives reason enough to believe said character has some knowledge on the laws of electricity. Taking this based off the words "I was not unacquainted with the more obvious laws of electricity." Meaning said character had some prior knowledge, so we can assume he is familiar with the basic science of electricity.

What does phyll mean?
red
blue
green
orange
jonny [76]

None of these are correct, phyll, is most cases, means leaf. However, it is the suffix of chlorophyll, which is a green pigment in most plants. With this being said, I would go with green.

Hope this helps!

Which lines in this excerpt from Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe indicate that the novel is a work of historical fiction?
fenix001 [56]
The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: " It was a matter of public knowledge, they said, that after the conquest of King William, his Norman followers, elated by so great a victory, acknowledged no law but their own wicked pleasure, and not only despoiled the conquered Saxons of their lands and their goods, but invaded the honour of their wives and of their daughters with the most unbridled license."
