They cause current to flow through the body to the ground. Low-frequency magnetic fields induce circulating currents within the human body. The strength of these currents depends on the intensity of the outside magnetic field. ... Heating is the main biological effect of the electromagnetic fields of radiofrequency fields.

The structure and function of mitochondria are often used as support for the endosymbiotic theory. Describe two of these propert
kirill [66]
Mitochondria contains it's own DNA. It's structure is a bit different from that of the chromosomes found in the eukaryotic nucleus. From my understanding, it supports the endosymbiotic theory because it contains characteristics similar to single-celled prokaryotic cells despite it being classified as an eukaryotic cell.

<span>Another function of the mitochondria that supports the endosymbiotic theory is that the mitochondria are responsible for their own reproduction. Eukaryotic cells are duplicated by its nucleus, however, despite it being classified as an eukaryotic cell, the mitochondria does all the work on it's own. Again, it supports the endosymbiotic theory because it contains characteristics similar to single-celled prokaryotic cells despite it being classified as an eukaryotic cell. </span>

How do the two types of endoplasmic reticulum differ?
xxTIMURxx [149]

Hi!

The two types of endoplasmic reticulum are:

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum RER

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum SER

The major difference between the two is the presence of ribosomes. The membrane of rough endoplasmic reticulum is bound by ribosomes, whereas the smooth endoplasmic reticulum is not bound by ribosomes.

Another difference lies in their function. RER is a storage house for proteins and is where the proteins are manufactured whereas SER is known for storing lipids and proteins both.

<h3>Hope this helps</h3>
