After reading the flashback about the police coming to the Coolidge house, do you think the police were fair? Why or why not?
Liula [17]

Answer:

The police were not fair.

Explanation:

Edward Coolidge was being accused of murdering a 14-year-old girl. He was the last person the girl was seen with and with whom she kept in touch before being found dead, stabbed and with gunshot marks on her body. How Coolidge was the prime suspect in the crime.

The police needed to go to Coolidge's house to search and seize his car and other objects that could be used in the investigation, for that, the police needed a search and seizure warrant. Who signed the search and seizure mandate was the Attorney General of the case and for that reason, the arrival of the police at Coolidge's home was not fair and violates the fourth institutional amendment.

This is because, for a term to be valid, it must be issued by someone who holds an impartial position in the case investigated.

In excerpt from "President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address," what does President Obama argue?
Vlad [161]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the excerpt from Barack Obama. Without the excerpt, we do not what you are talking about.

However, trying to help you, we did some research and can comment on the following.

The correct answer is "It is the duty of Congress to set aside differences to help America progress."

In the excerpt from "President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address," what does President Obama argue?

Answer:

"It is the duty of Congress to set aside differences to help America progress."

Former President Barack Obama argued that during his state of the Union Address because he wanted to put an end to the differences the legislative branch had with the executive branch, in order to progress with the legislations that were stuck in Congress, and Obama considered were necessary to help the country.

It is common that the President and Congress have political differences. More, when Congress is controlled by a different political party. In this case, Republicans controlled the majority in Congress. So, sometimes Congress rejects a bill from the executive, and other times the President exerts his veto power over legislation created in Congress.

Complete the sentence with "used to" or "use to"
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

b) use to

Explanation:

This is because at the beginning of the sentence there is already a past tense "did" so the verb after that would have to be in base form which would be "use to". It's a rule so I can't really explain much.

will somebody please write me an essay. I got my phone taken away last week because I was cursing. I really want my phone back a
melamori03 [73]

Why I should get my phone back.

First of all, Mother, I am extremely sorry for cursing, and I will never do it again, it was a horrendous idea and I was not being intelligent at all. Now the reasons I believe I deserve to get my phone back. First, I have been exceptional and not cursing. I have not said a single curse word since I have gotten my phone taken away, and plan on never saying another one. I have learned my lesson about not swearing. Another reason I should get my phone back is that I have been listening to you you said. I have not texted or called anyone while I have been home alone, nor did I even think about it. Finally, I should get my phone back because I have been doing my school work also. I have finished all of my work, and I sincerely believe I have done well on them. I hope this essay has persuaded you.
