The short-run aggregate supply curve is upward sloping because the quantity supplied increases when the price rises. ... As a result, there is a positive correlation between the price level and output, which is shown on the short-run aggregate supply curve.

The short-run aggregate supply curve is upward-sloping because it takes some time for input prices and/or wages to adjust. ... When the aggregate demand curve shifts, there will be a short-run change in output, but no long-run shift in output. The price level will change in both the short run and the long run.

As the price level rises, supply increases as firms expand production to increase profits. And as price level falls, supply falls as firm reduce production. For this reason the short-run aggregate supply curve slopes upward.

I hope this helps!!

When should an adverb clause be separated from the rest of the sentence by commas? List the two cases.
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

An adverb clause should be separated from the rest of the sentence by commas if it acts as an introduction and when it's placed in the middle of the independent clause.

Explanation:

An adverb clause is a subordinate clause that acts as an adverb. Adverbs are words that modify (describe) verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.

There are two instances when an adverb clause should be separated from the rest of the sentence by commas:

 • When it acts as an introduction, i.e. when it's placed at the beginning of the sentence, before the independent clause. - When he showed up, I was very surprised.
 • When it's placed in the middle of the independent clause. - My sister, although she studied very hard, failed the math test.
