When two air masses with different temperatures or humidity levels meet, they do not immediately mix or blend. Instead a line or boundary forms between them. This boundary is called a......front

Explanation:

Due to the different properties, especially temperatures. The less-dense air mass tends to rise while the denser tends to dive at the front causing turbulence. There are four main types of fronts;

 1. Cold front – bring rainfall and thunderstorms
 2. warm front – associated with less intense weather
 3. Occluded front – when a warm air mass is in between two cool air masses
 4. Stationary front - can be warm or cold but barely moves

I am located north of the nile but it is not the Mediterranean Sea
MissTica

The location is in the Levantine Sea.

Explanation:

The Levantine Sea is located in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, thus it can be said that it is a subdivision of it. The borders of this sea are comprised of Egypt on its south, Turkey on its north, Syria,Lebanon, Israel, and the Gaza strip on the east, Aegean Sea on the northeast, and Mediterranean Sea on the west. This sea is located in the warmest part of the Mediterranean, thus it has the warmest waters, as well as the highest salinity.

The largest and best known island in the Levantine Sea is Cyprus, and it is also the only sovereign country in it, though it can also be said that there are two separte countries on the island. The sea has three subdivisions, one of which is the Cilician Sea, while the other two are the Gulf of Iskenderun and Gulf of Antalia. This Sea is very important for the region, especially because it has a direct connection with the Red Sea, so it is one of the most exploited trading routs in the world.

Some characteristics of this sea are:

 • depth of 4,384 m
 • area of 320,000 square km
 • the Nile River flows into it
 • it is located in a highly geologically active area

When it was first proposed, Alfred Wegener's continental drift hypothesis was heavily criticized by earth scientists. What was o
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Option (C)

Explanation:

The continental drift theory was introduced by Alfred Wegener. He said that the continents moved over the vast ocean surface from one place to another.

He contributed many pieces of evidences in support f this theory, which includes the founding of similar fossil assemblages, similar rocks types in the distant continents, matching of the continental boundaries, but he was not able to explain the main mechanism behind the continental motion.

Due to this, this theory was not accepted by the other scientists and he was criticized by them.

Later, this theory was modified into the Plate tectonic theory which was successful in explaining the mechanism behind the continental motion i.e the formation of convection current in mantle that drives the plates movement.

Thus, the correct answer is option (C).

There are hundreds of major and sub-fields of science. Who decides which field of science is officially a sub-field of another f
Marrrta [24]

The subject of science is very broad. With that being said, I think there is no official regulatory board that decides the branches of science. Scientific developments are products of joined efforts of different scientists. These scientists could rebuke another's work provided there is evidence. As long as the theory is generally accepted by the scientists and no one rebukes it effectively, then it is a generally accepted fact and everyone adapts it.

Hence, the answer is B.
