If the internet stopped working, there would be mass panic at the loss of technology and communication. It would be a bad thing because many people would be without jobs. In this modern age, all jobs rely on the internet in order to be performed properly. Another reason it would be a bad thing is because people would no longer be able to communicate with their far-away loved ones. Online friendships, long-distance relationships, and many other things would suffer.
