There was a time when I was younger when I didn’t like the dark. This is pretty common in younger children but I just happened to be one of them. I didn’t particularly like being left alone, especially in the dark. Over time I learned to get over this fear by doing one thing. Praying. I prayed to God every single night to ask about helping me overcome this fear and to help me through the night. Of course if I needed to my parents would come pray with me and stayed in there until I fell asleep, but I prayed every night. And when I started feeling uncomfortable I would pray right then and there. Eventually I overcame this fear.
