Prose expresses more complete ideas than informal speech, and consequently, the prose is more complex than informal speeches. Prose, such as reports, newspaper articles, philosophical texts, and novels, aims to give readers a clear understanding of ideas while informal speeches do not tend to have that same purpose. The prose is more carefully organized and thought while informal speeches are more unpremeditated Prose may appeal to the emotions of the readers but it usually does not express the emotions of the author whereas informal speeches usually express the emotions of the author or speaker and sometimes appeal to the emotions of an audience

Both prose and informal speech are characterized for not following particular rules as poetry does and for having a natural flow of speech; however, they have some defining characteristics and their four major differences are the following: Prose expresses more complete ideas than informal speech, and consequently, prose are more complex than informal speeches. Read the procedure for making a cake. 1. Place the cake mix in bowl. 2. Add oil, eggs, and water. 3. 4. Place mixture in greased
ahrayia [7]

The correct answer is A. Stir well

Explanation:

In writing, a procedural text is a type of text mainly written with the purpose of explaining to readers how to complete a procedure or get to a final product, examples of this type of texts includes instructions on how to use technological devices and recipes. Additionally, these type of texts organizes information in short and clear statements or steps the reader should complete in order to get to the final product. This means the best way to determine the information that should be included in a missing step is to consider logically the step that is necessary to complete the following step and that derives from the previous step. Therefore in the procedural text presented which is a recipe that explains how to prepare a cake the missing step or step 3 should be "stir well", considering this step is necessary for the step 4 " Place mixture in greased pan" and therefore for completing all the process, also this step derives from " Add oil, eggs, and water" considering it is necessary to stir the elements of this step to get to the following step.
