President Roosevelt’s call to action upon reading Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle is best described as disbelief and distrust of Sinclair's claims.

For  better understanding, we have to explain why President Roosevelt’s view was best described as disbelief and distrust of Sinclair's claims.

  • In Sinclair’s novel, His revelations bothered the  United States and its President, Teddy Roosevelt, due to the fact that it exposed the unsanitary environment under which food was produce or made. its outcome has led to President Roosevelt signing into law the Pure Food and Drug Act, to create Food and Drug Administration after investigations were made.
  • Roosevelt was known to read a copy of the Jungle book and he felt sorry  to Sinclair’s earnest love to regulate the industry but he detest  the man’s gut. He investigated the meat industry.

From the above, we can therefore say that the answer President Roosevelt’s call to action upon reading Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle is best described as disbelief and distrust of Sinclair's claims is correct

Early on in history, what type of people could vote?
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

In the early history of the U.S., some states allowed only white male adult property owners to vote, while others either did not specify race, or specifically protected the rights of men of any race to vote. Freed slaves could vote in four states. Women were largely prohibited from voting, as were men without property.
