Delvig [45]
This story is about two sisters who have different experiences with a chore which was to get water from the spring that they were sent to do by their Mother. The younger of the two (which the mother doesn’t care for that much) had a great experience at the spring when she was to go get water. She got the experience of helping out an elderly women and got rewarded very greatly for being generous and kind by helping her. The elder daughter was sent to the spring upon request of her mother after her mother had seen what the youngest daughter was awarded for helping. The elder daughter didn’t have the greatest of luck, like her younger sister did. The elder daughter was very rude and not helpful towards the lady at the spring which wasn’t helpful towards her own situation.

In your literary analysis, you should write using
vazorg [7]
D. third person voice and present tense verbs.
You use 3rd person because it is more formal. The teacher always says "don't use I!"
You use present tense to talk about the book because even though you as the writer already read the book, the person who is reading your analysis may not have read the book, so use present tense. For example, you should write, "The book states on page" instead of "The book stated on page"

Read the excerpt from A Girl from Yamhill. He does not faint. Somehow Mother boosts him along to the parlor couch. Later, after
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

The universal theme present in this excerpt is:

A. Hard work often leads to injuries and suffering.

Explanation:

"A Girl from Yamhill" is a memoir by author Beverly Cleary. In the particular excerpt we are analyzing here, the universal theme that can be noticed is that hard work often leads to injuries and suffering. We all know that, as a general rule, farm work is hard work. It demands a lot of physical strength from those performing it. The character in the excerpt has the muscles to do the work, but his shoulder sockets are too shallow for the weight of those muscles. When the horses jer.k on the reins, he dislocates his arm. This injury obviously leads to pain and suffering.

Answer the following questions about the theme and form of the poem "thanatopsis" by william cullen bryant.
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

In his poem, Bryant describes nature as a woman with a kind and affectionate personality. Personifying nature as a woman helps to make it more identifiable and comforting. Bryant contemplates nature’s empathy. Nature has a conversation with him depending on his mood. She talks to him happily when he is happy and cheers him up when he is sad. She also comforts him when thoughts of death upset him.
