<h3>Answer:  11/20</h3>

=====================================================

Work Shown:

x = unknown horizontal length

1/5 = 0.2

Perimeter = 2*(width + length)

P = 2*(0.2 + x)

P = 0.4 + 2x

Set this equal to the given perimeter of 1 & 1/2 = 1.5 and solve for x

0.4 + 2x = 1.5

2x = 1.5-0.4

2x = 1.1

x = (1.1)/2

x = 0.55

x = 55/100

x = (5*11)/(5*20)

x = 11/20

I actually put two questions here... please help!
Verdich [7]
1) You know the height of the bird from the observer is the same as the height of the plane to tower. We also know that the angle of depression is same as the angle of elevation.

So we will use the tangent function to find the value of x.

tan 23 = 5000 / x
x = 5000 / tan 23
x = 11779

You're answer will be 11779 feet

2) We will use the sine function.

sin 35 = 17,000 / x
x = 17,000 / sin 35
x = 29638.6

So the answer would be approximately 29639

Hey there! :D

Subtract 10 from 28.

28-10= 18

Now, divide that by 3. (for her three friends)

18/3= 6

Each friend got 6 erasers.

I hope this helps!

WILL GIVE BRAINLIST AS SOON AS I CAN I've also never seen this question before either?? Very confused.
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

0.360  %  or 40%

Step-by-step explanation:

Area circle = 50.27 (50)

Area square = 32.3 (32)

Area circle minus area square  = 50.27-32.3= 17.97 (18)

    18/50 = 9/25 = 0.36
