The ability of an organism to change internally or externally in relation to changes in the environment is called Homeostasis. Example of some of the most common things which organisms can regulate in response to the changes in environment are body temperature, blood pressure, volume of body water, blood sugar/glucose level etc. These changes help the organism to maintain a constant equilibrium with the external environment in order to support their vital functions. There are various organs in the body which are responsible for Homeostasis but commonly in mammals the signals for such changes are sent by brain. However in less complex life forms, these changes can also be done local to the organ.

What happens if translation does not work?
joja [24]
If the translation does not occur or works badly, then the ribosomes can't create new proteins. If the body fails to make proteins, it stops working. That's because proteins are essential for the well being of your body, and not just in the sense that eating meat gives you protein. The ones created by ribosomes are much more important.

Answer:

Presence of papillary muscles

Explanation:

  • Papillary muscles are structural components of the ventricles.
  • They are attached to the cusps of the mitral and tricuspid valves through connective tissue strings known as the cordinae tendeneae (heart strings).
  • These muscles prevent the prolaspse of these valves during ventricular systole.
  • Although they differ in number i.e. two in left and three in right ventricle, papillary muscles are present in both ventricles.
