<span>y=1/5x+5 with the point (-6, 0)

The line perpendicular to this line will have a slope that's the negative reciprocal of this one. So if the slope here is 1/5 (based on y=mx+b, where m is the slope), then the perpendicular slope would be -5/1.

So now that you have the point and the slope, use the point-slope formula.
y - y</span>₁ = m(x - x₁)
m = -5
(x₁, y₁) = (-6, 0)

y - 0 = -5(x + 6)
y = -5x - 30

y = -5x - 30 is the line perpendicular to y=1/5x+5.

You need to flip the slope (or number in front of the x) and sign of it to do the perpendicular part. This should give you: y=-5x+b. Now put the -6 in for the x, and the 0 in for the y. Simply solve for an answer of -30=b. Your final answer is: y=-5x-30

Which is equivalent to sin^-1(.75)
Neko [114]
<h2>Answer: 0.85 radians</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the following trigonometric expression:

sin^{-1}(0.75)=arcsin(0.75)

The result of this calculation is:

sin^{-1}(0.75)=48.59\° where the angle is in degrees

If 360\°=2\pi rad then:

48.59\°(\frac{2\pi rad}{360\°}=0.848 rad \approx 0.85 rad

Therefore the answer is 0.85 radians

How many solutions does the system of equations have? y=4x-7 and y=4x+2
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-7=4x+2

-4x +7 -4x +7

0 = 9

0 doesn't equal 9, so there is no solution.

zepelin [54]

Answer: The complete question is "A circle has a radius of \blue{3}3start color #6495ed, 3, end color #6495ed. An arc in this circle has a central angle of 20^\circ20 ∘ 20, degrees. What is the length of the arc?"

The length of the arc is 1.06667 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question the radius of the circle R=3 \, units and central angle of arc is \Theta =20^{o}

As we know that the length of the arc is given as: L=R\Theta

Where R is radius of the circle, L is the length of the arc and  \Theta is central angle in radian.

Now, \Theta =20^{o}\times \frac{\Pi }{180}=\frac{\Pi }{9} \, rad

Therefore, length of the arc is

L=3\times \frac{\Pi }{9}=\frac{\Pi }{3} =\frac{3.14}{3}=1.0466667 \, units
