You are interviewing an applicant for a sales agent position in your company. Based on the company’s record, almost every compan

y sales agent makes a total revenue of 150x-x² pesos for selling x products in a week. If the applicant confidently assures you that he/she can easily make ₱10,000 weekly revenue, how many products should he/she sell to meet this quota?

Using the revenue model for most company sales agents y = 150x - x^2, and the weekly revenue of $10,000 assured by the applicant, you get:

150x - x^2 = 10,000

From which you can solve for x:

x^2 - 150x + 10,000 = 0

When you use the quadratic equation you find that the equation does not have real solution driving to the conclusion that the agent is not tellling the true.

Jerome bought C. 4\frac{7}{8} pounds of candy.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

First, we must convert the mixed fractions into improper fractions. To do that we multiply the whole number with the denominator and add with it the numerator while the denominator remains the same.

To convert this fraction 1\frac{1}{2} = \frac{(1)(2)+1}{2} =\frac{3}{2} .

To convert this fraction 2\frac{3}{4} = \frac{(2)(4)+3}{4} =\frac{11}{4} .

So Jerome bought \frac{3}{2} pounds of jelly beans, \frac{5}{8} pounds of gumballs and \frac{11}{4} pounds of chocolate.

Step 2:

We add all the values to determine the total candy bought.

\frac{3}{2} +\frac{5}{8} + \frac{11}{4} = \frac{(4(3)+1(5)+2(11))}{8} .

\frac{(4(3)+1(5)+2(11))}{8}  = \frac{39}{8} .

\frac{39}{8} can also be written as 4\frac{7}{8}.

So Jerome bought 4\frac{7}{8} pounds of candy which is option C.

QR = 23

Because the triangles are equal to each other, sides QR and TV are also equal. You can create an 3 or 4 step equation by writing the the QR equation is equal to the TV equation and then solving for X. After you solve for X, plug it back into the QR equation to solve for QR.

Express 3.72727272727... as a rational number, in the form pq
Aloiza [94]
Hi there!

Let x = 3. 72727.... ---(i)

Multiply 100 in eqn. (i)

100x = 372. 72727... ---(ii)

Subtract Eqn. (i) from (ii)

100x - x = 372. 7272... - 3. 7272...

99x = 369

x = \dfrac {369}{99}

x = \dfrac {41}{11}

Hence, \dfrac {41}{11} is th' required p-q form.
