You are interviewing an applicant for a sales agent position in your company. Based on the company’s record, almost every compan

y sales agent makes a total revenue of 150x-x² pesos for selling x products in a week. If the applicant confidently assures you that he/she can easily make ₱10,000 weekly revenue, how many products should he/she sell to meet this quota?

Using the revenue model for most company sales agents y = 150x - x^2, and the weekly revenue of $10,000 assured by the applicant, you get:

150x - x^2 = 10,000

From which you can solve for x:

x^2 - 150x + 10,000 = 0

When you use the quadratic equation you find that the equation does not have real solution driving to the conclusion that the agent is not tellling the true.

Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

237.87 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a projectile question.

We use the equation for the range of a projectile since we are given the horizontal distance and angle of projection.

So, R = U²sin2θ/g where R = range, U = initial speed of rocket, θ = projection angle and g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s².

Since it is given that the water body is 5 km away, R = 5 km = 5000 m and θ = 30°

So, making U subject of the formula, we have that

U = √(gR/sin2θ)

So, substituting the values of the variables, we have

U = √[9.8 m/s² × 5000 m/sin(2 × 30°)]

U = √[49000 m²/s²/sin60°]

U = √[49000 m²/s²/0.8660]

U = √[56,580.33 m²/s²]

U = 237.87 m/s

So the minimum speed of the rocket necessary to make sure the rocket reaches the water surface is U = 237.87 m/s

If carpet costs $11 a square yard including padding and installation, what would it
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:$342

Step-by-step explanation: First we convert to yards: which gives us 14/3 yards and 20/3 yards. We multiply these to find a combined area of 280/9 yards, which we then multiply to get 280*11/3. Simplify to get 342.22 repeating, which rounds to 342.

What is the unit rate for the cost of a salad at the salad bar?
Mnenie [13.5K]
Unite rate means that there must be a number 1 in the ratio. It is usually on the right part of the ratio so i would divide 2 by 2 and 0.5 by 2. Then you would get 0.25:1
