What is 2√20 - 4√45 + 7√12 in simplest radical form? Show your work!
posledela

Answer:

14\sqrt{3}-8\sqrt{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

2\sqrt{20}-4\sqrt{45}+7\sqrt{12}

we know that

2\sqrt{20}=2\sqrt{2^{2}5} =2(2)\sqrt{5}=4\sqrt{5}

4\sqrt{45}=4\sqrt{3^{2}5} =4(3)\sqrt{5}=12\sqrt{5}

7\sqrt{12}=7\sqrt{2^{2}3} =7(2)\sqrt{3}=14\sqrt{3}

substitute the values in the expression above

4\sqrt{5}-12\sqrt{5}+14\sqrt{3}

Combine like terms

14\sqrt{3}-8\sqrt{5}

Rectangle A has side lengths of 6\text{ cm}6 cm6, start text, space, c, m, end text and 3.5\text{ cm}3.5 cm3, point, 5, start te
sergiy2304 [10]

The side lengths of rectangle is 3 cm and 1.75 cm  and  5.25 cm and  9 cm.

According to the statement

we have given that Rectangle A has side lengths of 6 cm  and 3.5 cm

And The side lengths of rectangle B are proportional to the side lengths of rectangle A.

And we have to Find that the What could be the side lengths of rectangle B?

A  3 cm and 1.75 cm

B  5 cm and  2.5 cm

C  7 cm and  7 cm

D  12 cm and  5 cm

E  5.25 cm  and  9 cm

Here we see that the side B are proportional to side length A of rectangle.

So,

Let say sides of rectangle B are  a  and  b  corresponding to sides  6 and 3.5 cm

=> a/6  = b/3.5

=> a/b = 6/3.5

=> a/b  = 12/7

A  3 cm and 1.75 cm

3/1.75  = 12/7

Hence this is proportional

B  5 cm and  2.5 cm

5/2.5  = 2  ≠ 12/7

Not Proportional

C  7 cm and  7 cm

7/7 = 1 ≠ 12/7

Not Proportional

D  12 cm and  5 cm

12/5   ≠ 12/7

Not Proportional

E  5.25 cm  and  9 cm

9/5.25  = 36/21  = 12/7

Hence this is proportional

So, 3 cm and 1.75 cm   and   5.25 cm and  9 cm  could be the side lengths of rectangle B.

A bee flies at 15 feet per second directly to a flowerbed from its hive. the bee stays at the flowerbed for 10 minutes, and the
spayn [35]

The equation can that can be used to find the distance of the flowerbed from the hive is d/15 + d/9 = 300

The flower bed is 1687.5ft away from the hive

<h3>How can the work mathematical expression be calculated?</h3>

We can denote the  distance of flower bed from hive as d

The time that the the bee stays at the flower bed would be =10

The away  for the  bee  from the hive=15 mins

Then the Time that the  bed  will use to move  to the flower bed and back to the hive  can be calculated as:

15 -10=5 minutes

we can convert to  seconds  as

=(5*60)=300 seconds

To calculate the time  we can use the equation:

Distance/speed

Time of fright=300seconds

Time for flying from hive to flowerbed= d/15ft/s

Time for flying from flower bed to Hive= d/9ft/s

The equation can that can be used to find the distance of the flowerbed from the hive is d/15 + d/9 = 300

(9d+15d)/135  =300

24d/135 =300

24d =40500

d=1687.5ft
