Immune from lice? Anyone can get lice, and personal hygiene has nothing to do with the likelihood of being infested. They are attracted to clean, shiny hair, but really lice will go anywhere they can get their hands on as the blood beneath the surface of the hair is their means of food. Apparently, I was today years old when I found out lice can mutant and be resistant to the over the counter treatment for lice. You learn something new everyday.

Avoid head-to-head contact, do not share clothing of any such that have anything to do with headwear, do not share brushes, combs, or towels. I was always told to keep my hair up in a ponytail to avoid the chances of getting lice. It’s worth the effort of keeping your hair to yourself and are less of a risk of having hair to hair contact combing hair checks are the best way to detect a case of lice in the early stages.
