Read the sentence below and use context clues to determine the meaning of the word replica: This replica of the ship, the U.S.S.
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

B, a copy or duplicate.

Explanation:

It isn't the actual ship so it can't be the original version because the original ship would be big not small. It's a ship so it can't be a companion, and no one is presenting anything so it's definitely not an assisted presentation.

Tomtit [17]
I think the first answer to the first answer is C. I clipped the review 'Local Restruants for Foodies' out of the paper for you. I think the next answer might be A. I'm only halfway through the chapter ''The Lawerance Boy.'' I think the last answer is B. The main character in ''Treasure Island'' sailed on the ship the Hispaniola.

In which of Alexander Popes works does he twist the conventions of the epic poem to create a satirical tone? Support your answer
jok3333 [9.3K]
I believe Pope twisted the conventions of the epic poem in order to create a satirical tone in his The R.ape of the Lock.
It was created as a mock poem, written in order to ridicule heroic epic poems of the Classical and Post-Classical eras. Pope used the heroic couplets throughout the poem in order to give it an elevated style; however, if you read the poem, you will see that the theme is quite mundane - the poem talks about how somebody stole a strand of a girl's hair.
