A system of equations that can be used to find the number of packages of Brand X hot dog buns and Brand Y hot dog buns that Christopher buys is:

12x + 8y = 120

4.5x + 3.5y = 49.50.

The number of packages of Brand X bought is 4 and the number of packages of Brand Y bought is 9

The following equations can be derived from the question

12x + 8y = 120  equation 1

4.5x + 3.5y = 49.50 equation 2

x represents the number of packages of Brand X

y represents the number of packages of Brand Y

The elimination method would be used to determine the values of x and y

Multiply equation 1 by 4.5 and equation 2 by 12

54x + 36y = 540 equation 3

54x + 42y = 594 equation 4

 Subtract equation 3 from 4

6y = 54

Divide both sides of the equation by 6

y = 9

Substitute for y in equation 1

12x + 8(9) = 120

12x + 72 = 120

12x = 48

x = 4

Valentin [98]

Answer :A)-2

Step-by-step explanation: If you multiply B; x + 9y =10 by -2 you will      have -2 x+ -18y= -20. Then when you add B with a 2x + 8y = 5

                                                                                      -2x +-18y=-20

Fuzzy draws a segment of positive length in a plane. How many locations can Fuzzy place another point in the same plane to form
Mars2501 [29]

Answer: 2 locations.

Step-by-step explanation:

This segment will be the hypotenuse, now, if we find the exact middle of this segment and we draw a line that cuts perpendicularly the segment by the middle, then we can put a point in any point of that line (except in the segment because this will make a degenerate triangle). Then we connect both extremes of the segment with that point, and for how we find it, we know that these new lines will have the same lenght, so this will be an isosceles triangle.

Now, if we want that the triangle is also a right triangle, then the angle between the new sides must be 90°, if we put the point near the segment, the angle will be larger than 90°, and if we put it really far away, the angle will be smaller than 90°. So for each side of this line, we have only one point where the angle is exactly 90°.

this means that we have 2 locations that can create a non-degenerate isosceles right triangle.

Determine the coordinates of the vertices of the rectangle to compute the area of the rectangle using the distance formula (roun
belka [17]

Answer:

The graph of the rectangle missing in the question is shown in the figure attached.

Coordinates of the points are:

A(1,8)

B(4,5)

C(14,21)

D(17,18)

The area of the rectangle is AB*BD.

The length of a segment given two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is computed as follows:

√[(y2 - y1)^2 + (x2 - x1)^2]

For segment AB:

√[(5 - 8)^2 + (4 - 1)^2] = √18

For segment BD:

√[(18 - 5)^2 + (17- 4)^2] = √338

Then, the area is:

AB*BD = (√18)*(√338) = √(18*338) = √6084 = 78

Can someone help me please?
givi [52]

Answer:

3x+y=3

Step-by-step explanation:

Standard Form is Ax+By=c

We need to first find the slope of your line

Slope formula = y2-y1

———

x2-x1

So

0-(-3)

———

1-2

So 3 over -1 is -3

Your slope is negative 3

Your y intercept is (0,3)

So y=-3x+3

Now convert to standard form

Ax+By=C

Move 3x onto the other side which turns positive

Your answer is

3x+y=3
