dexar [7]
I can't give you two to the three, but women were at home working hard and fighting for the right to vote, African Americans moved North for Industrial jobs, the ones serving were discriminated against, Conscientious Objectors such as Alvin C. York believed it was against their religion to go out and kill people so they abstained (Alvin eventually went to war so he was only an objector for some time)

How did many northern democrats feel about lincoln's emancipation proclamation?
Norma-Jean [14]
There were many democrats in the north who thought that the Emancipation Proclamation was not the most important part of the Civil War and that it shouldn't even be there. Their sentiment was that the war is fought for preserving the federation, not for freeing the slaves. Many of them didn't even care about the slaves, they just wanted the resources found in confederation land.

Why did hitler and the nazi party hate the jews to the point of planning to exterminate the entire jewish race?
Andrews [41]
Although up till date, no concrete evidence of Hitler's order to exterminate was found, it can be said of his intents in his widely published book, Mein Kampf.

Antisemitism arose due to the positions of the Jews in societies, and more so aggravated following the 1929 Great Depression. As such, the Nazis promised a state where there was German purity (Aryan race) and sought to eliminate other races as part of their master-race ideology. Other than Jews who were eliminated out of this nationalistic clause, other "sub races" deemed unfit for the Nazi Party included the gypies and slavs, who suffered greatly under Nazi authority during WW2.
