You have previously written ideas in your Informational Research Chart. Now you will use your ideas from the Research Chart (and
tips from this lesson) to write the introduction to your informational article. In your introduction, be sure to include:
a statistic or surprising fact in your hook
one to two sentences of important information regarding your topic
your thesis written in the third person point of view without feelings or emotions
four or more sentences in your introduction
Write in third person point of view and use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling
So this is the general format of what you'd like to write. "Everyone faces challenges in their lives; some call these challenges "daily monsters."] [provide a brief description of your everyday monster (you can make one up) (don't go into too much detail; save part of it for the body paragraphs)] [thesis (remember to put your thesis at the end of your introduction paragraph. Make sure the thesis includes elements of what you'll be writing about in the next few paragraphs.]
Technical writing is used to communicate specific information about a particular subject, craft or occupation. It differs in purpose from other writing forms is so far as it is a writing about a particular subject that requires direction, instruction and explanation.
Atticus tells Scout that a Cunningham was on the jury and didn't want to convict Tom. This Cunningham thought that Tom was innocent. The jury actually had to think about the conviction before they did it.
