Explanation:

Tag questions are placed at the end of a sentence with the purpose of confirming the information stated in the sentence. The basic rule is: if the sentence is negative, the tag question is positive. If the sentence is positive (affirmative), the tag question is negative. Example: You love me, don't you?

The tag question is formed by the auxiliary verb and a pronoun that refers to the subject of the sentence. For instance, if the sentence talks about James (a man), the pronoun is "he". If the sentence is about Janine (a woman), it is "she". Examples: James is happy, isn't he? / Janine is happy, isn't she?

The auxiliary for the simple present is "do" for the persons "I, you, we, they", and "does" for "he she it". The auxiliary for the past is "did" for all persons.

If the sentence has the verb "to be", then "to be" is the auxiliary.

In "have / has got", the auxiliary is "have / has".

In "there + to be", the auxiliary is "to be", and the subject is "there".

With modal verbs such as "can, could, may, should", the modal verbs are the auxiliary.

Examples:

- You cook well, don't you?

- Ellen didn't go to school, did she?

- She is a chef, isn't she?

- I have got to talk less, haven't I?

- There is a woman waiting outside, isn't there?

- You can play the guitar, can't you?

Which line would be most appropriate to include when writing for teachers?
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

Students learn most effectively when they are given hands-on experience.

Is the statemen that is the most appropriate to include when writing for teachers.

Explanation:

The reason relays on the analysis of all the options. The first example is advice for people that work on science projects, and teachers already know how to develop, evaluate, and teach them. Now, the second option talks about how children should be encouraged to complete the assignment. However it doesn't talk in a school context, therefore is discarded. The third example dos talk about students and provide and advice on them. So it talks to the teacher. The fourth example talks about joining a science club and the permission required, while teachers should not have a requirement to join them and lead them. Therefore, "C" is the correct answer.

Answer:

Avant-garde

The above word has it's origins in French language which means to “vanguard” or “fore-guard” or "to protect".

It was as a military term used to describe a small troop of highly skilled soldiers who went before the rest of the army to survey the terrain and communicate any dangers perceived.

By the time he was seventeen, he had published the first volume of his poems. Soon after this, he joined the Naval War School during the First World War and worked as a teacher in an school located in the eastern parts of Turkey. It was during this period that he started nursing the avant-garde ideas.

He was attracted by the promises by the Russian Revolution of egalitarianism.  Nazim Hikmet went to Moscow in 1922. There he got himself admitted into  the University of Moscow and where he studied Sociology and Economics.

In 1924, after the Turkish Liberation War, he returned to Turkey in 1924 but was arrested shortly afterwards for his writings in a Communist magazine. In 1926, two years later, he managed to escape to Moscow where he continued writing.
