Answer:

The most interesting event was the Quick Sale in the local cloth store near our home. It seemed crazy since everybody wanted to shop for everything. This was due to the drop in prices that day. The stock was being cleared to bring in new stock.

I recall getting a brand new set of headphones amidst a pile of clothes that were being trampled upon on the ground. I couldn't hide my extreme joy at that time. I jumped up and down in great ectasy as most people stared ar me with eyes wide in disbelief.

I walked over to the counter to pay for the set of headphones on to hear the person at the counter saying, "I don't think you bought that here. Only clothes are sold here." I walked out of the store filled with both shock and joy. I still do not believe what took place till now but I use the set of headphones I got.

Select the sentence that is correctly punctuated with commas and/or semi-colons and/or periods: the crab grass was flourishing b
iren2701 [21]

The sentence that is correctly punctuated with commas, semi-colons or periods is sentences number 2: "the crab grass was flourishing, but the rest of the lawn, unfortunately, was dying."

The fist option is incorrect because there are no breaks at all in the sentence. The third asnwer is incorrect as well because there should have been a comma for a pause after mentioning that the grass was flourishing, but then adding a different element to the sentence such as the word "unfortunately", which indicates that something not expected happened to the grass. And finally the last asnwer is incorrect because the semi-colon is used in the wrong way.

Commas indicate small breaks, while periods indicate the end of a sentence. Semi-colons are used to separate different elements from the same idea in a sentence.

There are a few rules to using commas. One of those rules is not separating a subject from its verb. For example:

- "My mom, is a great dancer". INCORRECT

- "My mom is a great dancer". CORRECT

Another rule is that in a compound predicate that contains two verbs, you can't separate them with a comma. For example:

- "Agatha sings, and dances". INCORRECT

- "Agatha sings and dances". CORRECT.

Describe Abel and his Tswana culture. Does his culture impact how he interacts with Trevor’s mother?
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer:

n Noah’s final preface, he remembers one Saturday, when he secretly eats a huge bowl of custard and jelly that is intended for a weeklong celebration for the whole family. That night, mosquitoes devour him, and he wakes up bloated from the dessert and itchy from the jelly. His mother tells him it’s time to go to church, and that Jesus would make him feel better. Trevor argues that “Jesus gives us medicine,” so taking medicine and staying home would be the best way to honor him.
