1.  Working memory is short-term memory: It doesn't last long. The capacity of working memory is limited.

Long-term memory can last from two minutes to a year. Long-term memory has a vast capacity to store and remember things.

2.  Subsystem of long-term memory:

a. procedural memory tells how things should be done

b. semantic memory stores memory about general things in the world/ideas

c.  episode memory stores memory about personalexperiences/events

3.  Subsystem of short-term memory:

a. central executive contols the whole memory working system

b. visuospatial sketchpad stores data in visial or spatial form

c.  phonological loop stores data in written or spoken form
