A character sketch to describe the Famous Actress in the story, "A Matter of Husband", is as follows:

  • The Famous Actress is a young, renowned, and beautiful actress who is envied by the ordinary woman. On the outside, she looks innocent and harmless but in reality, she is mean and wicked. She is cunning and deceitful as seen in the way she concocts a story to sway the woman from believing that her husband was having an affair with her. She also lives an immoral life as seen in the conclusion of the story where it was revealed that Alfred, the ordinary woman's husband was actually in her house.

A character sketch is a brief description of the personality of a character in a story.

The Famous Actress in the story is portrayed on the outside as a kind and gentle woman. But this is not the truth because her actions in the story reveal that she was a cunny person.

The smooth way she concocted and told the story of how the woman's husband was trying to secure her love whereas he was in her house at that moment reveals that she is two-faced.

Why would an image of a hero change over time?
almond37 [142]
I think it would be A, to appeal to modern day audiences.

Back then women were not as respected and physically capable as men. However women now can do most if not all jobs than men can do. So a hero who doesn’t treat women like they are still incapable may be more appealing than a hero who treats women like children in modern day. (Back then it would have been acceptable or liked)
