Not sure what medications you learned this week. but, psychiatric medications are not used with patients with dementia because it advances their deterioration.
alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia in which plaques and tangles develop in the patient’s brain, which deteriorates the brain. it is only definitively diagnosable during autopsy.
it is important to have an understanding of medications to know what actually helps patients with alzheimer’s, and what will not further progress the disease.

If I want to be an RN can I complete college in 4 years?
Anna35 [415]

Answer

There are several different educational paths that will lead you to a degree in nursing depending on your background and preference. You will need to go to school for a minimum of two years for an associates degree in nursing (unless you already have a degree in another major) and a maximum of four years to obtain a BSN degree. There are some diploma programs still in operation (no degree), but it is increasingly important to have a degree in nursing to be competitive.
