Archaeal flagella is a long hair-like cell surface appendage which is made of polymerized flagellin with a hook attached to it. It helps in motility in archaebacteria.
It is significantly thinner in comparison to the baceria domain and also different in the cell wall and cell membrane architecture.
Flagella of archaea are made up fo flagellin protein which is different from domain bacteria. In some cases, it is glycoprotein instead of protein.
